Mermaid Treasure - Abalone Shell Necklace

A beautiful unique pendant featuring a beautiful blue based abalone shell smooth cabochon which has a stunning shimmer to it.

This is a one of a kind unique piece. I wanted it to look like rustic mermaid treasure so I cut a random shape out of sterling silver sheet metal (0.5mm thick) then reticulated it ( which is when you melt the silver with your blowtorch until its nearly melting but stop just before so get a lovely bumpy surface texture so more rustic looking) then I hammered it and punched half holes at random points and soldered on some silver balls made by melting down offcuts of sterling silver eco recycled silver. I made the bezel setting and set the beautiful shell cabochon. Its really beautiful especially when the sun light shines on it. Stunning! I worked really hard on this its a one off. Size wise pendant is approx 1.5cm wide by 2cm long. It reminds me of a shark tooth in shape.

Please note there are two small scratches on the shell part from where i slipped when setting the shell so selling for half price. I dont think it's noticeable at all when worn etc.

This is on a sterling silver jump ring and sterling silver trace chain ( please leave me a note at checkout letting me know whether you would prefer an 18 inch or 20 inch necklace chain thank you. If i don't hear from you within 24 hours i will just put on a standard 18 inch chain. )

If you are buying from the uk then postage is free and the only price you pay is the price you see on this item. We send to you via royal mail recorded delivery first class so once posted it is usually with you within a couple of days.

Customers buying from the USA - there is a flat rate of £10 on top for international tracked and signed delivery. It will be calculated for you at checkout but i think thats roughly 13 US dollars. Please note there may be customs taxes and duties payable by you at your end and that is your responsibility as the customer to pay any fees from customs before the piece is released to you. Time wise it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks for the parcel to reach you in the USA although currently it seems to only take about 1 week once left the UK.

We use recycled/recyclable eco friendly materials to safely package your order. Jewellery will be in a cardboard jewellery box then wrapped with tissue paper and ribbon. Then in a non plastic mailing bag.
